Krantiveer (1994) DVDRip 720p X264 5.1 Manudil Manudil is an Indian word which means man of wisdom or deep thought. This film celebrates the life of Swami Vivekananda, who was the chief disciple of Hindu spiritual reformer Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa in 19th-century India. The film tells how he traveled to America, where he spread the message of Vedanta philosophy and launched the mission for India's cultural revival beyond its religious boundaries. He also started a chat association called The Vedantin Club with his guru Sri Ramakrishna himself in the year 1895 in Kolkata, India. The film shows how Vivekananda made a significant contribution to the glory of India, by uniting the people and introducing them to spirituality and patriotism. In the opening sequence of the film, it is shown that Swami Vivekananda traveled from various parts of India to America. The scenes show Vivekananda in train coaches, under bridges, running from police officials and other scenes from his journey. In 1895, Swami Vivekananda left for America from Calcutta because everyone in India was asking him to leave his native land. During his trip he made a speech in honour of King Edward VII in London which was very successful because thousands of people present attended the event. In America, Vivekananda met with lots of people. From that meeting Vivekananda concluded that the Americans were very materialistic and were not interested in spirituality and self-realization. On the other hand, Vivekananda's sole intention was to spread the message of Vedanta and he wanted to do it even in America. Vivekananda was able to realize his dream by starting a club called The Vedantin Club in New York, which he did along with his guru Sri Ramakrishna. After staying for five years in America, Swamiji returned to India where he launched The Ramakrishna Mission in 1897 (Kripalu Center). The film has been produced by Dr. Paresh Chaudhuri, a well known figure in the alternative media movement in India. His work has been recognised by leading media bodies such as the Government of India's Press Information Bureau and the Press Club of India. He was awarded the Rotary Award for Excellence in Journalism and Communication. The film takes a wistful and philosophical look back at Swami Vivekananda, who became revered as a guru and is celebrated as a youthful hero of human struggle and religious tolerance. With this film Dr. Paresh Chaudhuri wishes to pay rich tribute to the life and work of Swami Vivekananda on his 150th birth anniversary. The film is directed by Dr. Paresh Chaudhuri.
